About Vasuman Moza
Vasuman Moza is the founder and CEO of Varick Agents, a company that builds custom AI agent systems to automate enterprise departments end to end. Varick works in three steps: an AI opportunity audit, process redesign, and production deployment of agents that plug into a client's existing ERP, CRM and data platforms. Its focus areas include finance operations, procurement, revenue operations, compliance and logistics.
Moza built Varick's forward deployed engineering team and writes publicly about the role, including the guide "Forward Deployed Engineering 101" and the article "Don't apply AI." His central argument is that AI can't be applied to a company like a coat of paint. The process has to be mapped and re-engineered first, and only then do agents go in.
He has appeared on Greg Isenberg's channel twice. The second appearance, a 54-minute masterclass published in October 2026, walks through anonymized Varick engagements with a $5 billion public software company, a private equity firm with 26 portfolio companies, and an accounts payable department.

Notable Positions
On Process Mapping Before Agents
Moza starts every engagement with three sources: interviews with the people who do the work, process-mining agents that watch the systems of record for three to four weeks, and whatever documentation exists. At a $5 billion software company, a seven-step quote-to-signature process documented by consultants turned out to have 20 steps and seven loops, with 61% of requests looping back to the start.
On the Four Buckets
Every mapped step is sorted into one of four buckets: delete it, replace it with plain code, hand it to an agent when judgment is needed and historical data exists, or keep a human in the loop for risky actions such as approvals, signing and payments.
On Building Inside Systems of Record
He advises FDEs to build agents inside the tools clients already use, such as Salesforce, NetSuite and Dynamics, with human approvals arriving in Slack, rather than asking clients to migrate to new AI-native software. For PE firms, he groups portfolio companies by ERP so one playbook covers several companies.
On Model Choice
Most workflows don't need a frontier model. Moza recommends benchmarking every workflow against every model, including open models, and notes that many enterprises refuse Chinese models and that Varick has seen no demand for on-premise GPUs, even from banks, healthcare and pharma clients.
Key Quotes

- "pitch yourself as building these agents inside their systems of record." (advice to forward deployed engineers)
- "We drove that from 18% to 87% for this client." (on the straight-through rate of invoices in an AP rebuild)
