What is a Company Brain?

A company brain is a shared, AI-readable store of everything an organization knows (meetings, calls, tickets, advice, decisions) combined with agents that read it, act on it, and update it. Instead of knowledge living in people's heads and moving up and down a hierarchy, it lives in the system.

How It Works

  • Legibility: every meeting, message and action leaves a written or recorded artifact.
  • Loops: agents turn that data into actions, check outcomes, and rewrite procedures. YC's example is recorded office hours rewriting its internal manual.
  • Humans at the edge: people handle trust, negotiation, ethics and situations the model cannot perceive.

Caveats

The idea is early and largely untested at scale. Its main risks are poor data hygiene and giving agents access to sensitive information without clear policy.
