Lead Intelligence
Find companies showing buying triggers and turn them into evidence-backed sales opportunities with AI-powered market signal monitoring.
Lead Intelligence
Lead Intelligence is a Teamday workspace app that watches the market for business triggers and turns them into evidence-backed sales opportunities. A set of AI agents runs continuously to find target companies, score their signals, and draft recommended next actions — without you having to search manually.
What it does
Lead Intelligence monitors public market signals — hiring surges, new funding, leadership changes, new locations, layoffs — and matches them against the ideal customer profile you define. For each match it produces a scored opportunity with:
- Why now — the specific signals observed and their evidence
- Priority score — a composite score weighted by signal strength, freshness, and ICP fit
- Recommended action — a suggested first outreach step or qualifying question
The result is a prioritized list of companies worth contacting, with proof attached to every entry.
Activate Lead Intelligence
Lead Intelligence is a workspace app. Add it to any workspace where you want market monitoring to run.
- Open your workspace in the Teamday sidebar.
- Click Apps or look for the Lead Intelligence entry in the workspace navigation.
- If not yet configured, you land on the Setup tab.
Initial setup
On first launch, select a profile or fill in your own configuration.
Choose a profile
Two built-in profiles provide sensible defaults:
| Profile | Best for |
|---|---|
| Teamday ICP | B2B SaaS and services companies looking for AI execution capacity |
| HORECA | Field sales targeting hotels, restaurants, cafes, and foodservice operators |
Select Custom to configure your own market and buyer criteria from scratch.
Configure your market
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Market name | A short label for internal reference, e.g. "Lisbon AI-ready companies" |
| Geography | One or more cities, regions, or countries |
| Industries | Target industry categories, comma-separated |
| Company size | Employee or revenue range |
| Exclude | Account types to skip, e.g. "public sector, students, retail-only" |
Configure your ICP
| Field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Pain | The execution problem your buyers share |
| Buyer titles | Decision-maker job titles, comma-separated |
| Offer | A short description of what Teamday brings to these buyers |
Enable signals
Toggle the market signals you want the Lead Scout to watch:
| Signal | When to enable |
|---|---|
| Hiring | Company is hiring for roles that imply growth or new process volume |
| Layoffs / cost pressure | Company is cutting headcount, implying a do-more-with-less pressure |
| Leadership change | New executive who may re-evaluate vendors |
| Funding | Recent funding round, implying runway to buy |
| New location | Expansion that creates new operational surface |
| Review spike | Rapid change in review volume or rating (e.g. Google Places) |
| Places status | Business status change detected via Google Places (requires a Google Places API key) |
Click Save & start to create the workspace config and install the AI agents.
AI agents
Once setup completes, Lead Intelligence installs three scheduled missions into your workspace:
Lead Scout
Runs daily. Searches configured sources for companies and raw signals matching your market criteria. Writes accounts and raw signals to the workspace.
Lead Analyst
Runs after the Scout. Deduplicates accounts, scores signals, and produces ranked opportunities. Each opportunity includes a priority score, why-now proof, and a recommended outreach action.
Weekly Pipeline Brief
Runs every Monday morning. Summarises the hottest accounts, strongest signals, new vs stale opportunities, and what needs human approval.
Check the Agents tab to see each mission's last run time and current status.
Reading your leads
Go to the Leads tab to see scored opportunities.
Each card shows:
- Company name and brief descriptor
- Priority score (0–100) — higher is warmer
- Stage —
visit_first(high-confidence, act now), ornurture(monitor, not ready yet) - Why now — the specific signals observed with cited sources
- Recommended action — what to do next
The Signals tab shows all raw signals before they are rolled up into opportunities. Use it to spot emerging trends or investigate why a company was scored.
The Briefings tab stores the weekly pipeline reports and any outreach drafts the agents have prepared.
Starter leads
New workspaces can load a set of example leads to see what the data looks like before the scout runs its first live cycle. Click Load starter leads on the Overview tab. These are pre-seeded example records — replace them with live data by clicking Replace with live run once the agents have completed their first scheduled cycle.
API keys and credentials
Most signals use public web search and do not require credentials. Some sources need a key:
| Source | Required credential |
|---|---|
| Google Places enrichment | GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY in workspace secrets |
| LinkedIn job signals | LINKEDIN_SOURCE in workspace secrets (requires a compliant LinkedIn data provider) |
| Custom search provider | SERP_API_KEY in workspace secrets |
Add these under Settings → Secrets in your workspace. The Lead Scout will only use a source if the required credential is present and valid.
Worked example
Goal: Find Lisbon companies hiring for support or operations roles that might benefit from AI employees.
- Activate Lead Intelligence in your workspace.
- On Setup, select Teamday ICP profile. Adjust geography to
Lisbon, Portugal. Enable Hiring and Layoffs signals. Disable signals you do not need. - Click Save & start. The agents are installed and the first Scout run is scheduled for the next morning.
- After the first run, open Leads. You see scored opportunities — for example: "Acme Operations (score 88) — Hiring 5 support roles in 14 days. Recommended: ask the founder if they are scaling because demand is up or process is overloaded."
- Check Briefings on Monday for the weekly summary. Forward the top three opportunities to your sales lead.
Troubleshooting
No leads appear after the first run.
Check the Agents tab for mission errors. If the Scout mission shows a schedule error, open the mission detail for the full job log. Most failures are caused by missing credentials for a source that was enabled in setup.
"Places status" signal is disabled even though I enabled it.
Google Places enrichment requires a valid GOOGLE_PLACES_API_KEY in workspace secrets. Add the key and re-save setup.
The Scout found companies but the Analyst produced no opportunities.
The Analyst may have discarded all signals as low-confidence. This happens when the observed signals do not clearly match your ICP definition. Broaden your industry or geography settings, or lower the signal threshold by enabling additional signal types.
